I have suffered from migraines for 22 years. In the past 10 years the frequency and severity consistently increased. Last year, I was averaging 2-3 debilitating migraines a week. My friendship with Matt began when I was involved in a terrible accident that altered course of my life. The damage and effect of the accident would have had a much more negative impact on my life without the help of Matt. Before the accident I was an accomplished student athlete at Poway High School. As a wrestler at the high school, I had many accomplishments such as, finishing 4th in the state of California and having many division 1 scholarship offers. The summer before my senior year I acquired a bacterial infection known as Staph in my hip and in the ball in socket joint of my shoulder. The Staph greatly impaired my walking and mobility for 8 months and I was subjected to the use of a wheelchair. After all the surgery’s and treatments I decided to try and wrestle my senior year. A family friend Mrs. Daube had been taking her son to Matt for reoccurring neck problems. His neck problems were quickly resolved do to the great effects of acupuncture. After seeing Matt once I experienced visible improvements in my walking, strength, and mobility. After my positive experience I visited Matt twice a week for therapy and strength training. After a few months of acupuncture I was able to continue my wrestling career and was able to obtain a college wrestling scholarship offer. Thanks to Matt my college-wrestling career has been successful and will continue to be. In all honesty, without the help of Matt and his acupuncture I would not be where I am today. Pain Management - My name is Rositsa S. My boyfriend took me to see Dr. Mike Corradino, because of an injury. I hurt myself driving my scooter, I believe I cracked a rib and had a muscle injury, which was extremely painful, it hurt every time I took a breath! I was in pain for two weeks before I was treated by Dr. Mike, and during those two weeks I tried all kinds of pain killers with zero or minimum results! My pain was preventing me from my daily activities and was affecting my slee, I was willing to try anything. Dr. Mike was very attentive and caring and I was much better after my first treatment! My experience with NCIAC - North County Integrative Acupuncture Center was recommended to me by one of my best friends. I was treated by Dr. Michael Corradino for smoking cessation, my treatment included acupuncture plus herbal supplements. I have smoked for a period of 10 years, during which I quit twice. First time I quit it was very unpleasant and required all my willpower, I was very short tempered and intolerable to the people around me, I relapsed after an year and a half. Second time I quite I was sick for a week, which helped, but did find it very difficult to be around smokers. Dr. Corradino treated me for a period of 3 weeks, two treatments per week. The first two weeks of my treatment I was still smoking, but I gradually started smoking less. I stopped smoking on Jan 3rd, during my last week of treatment. After I quit smoking to my amazement my body wasn't craving nicotine, i did not need nicotine gum or patches, I was happy and my lungs felt very good! I recommend North County Integrative Acupuncture Center for numerous reason - very friendly, accepting and understanding staff, noticeable results after a few sessions, conveniently located in Pomerado Hospital. I find western medicine ineffective on a daily basis, if my body is in pain I take pain killers, which treat the symptom and not the reason for my pain. Pain killers will have side effects, will be harsh on my stomach and liver Why do I have to damage my body to treat a symptom? And that is just a simple example! This is the reason I am so impressed with and grateful for acupuncture - it is an extremely healthy and effective way to achieve good health and longevity!! -Ana
